Gear Bag or Luggage Weight - Must be under 40 lbs.
PAC Tour will provide you a gear bags for the Ridge of the Rockies. Rasa has already formulated a list of people who already have a PAC Tour gear bag, if you have a bag already and have not notified Rasa, email her and receive a $65 credit.
If you have been on a PAC Tour before, you know it is best to limit your gear bag to under 40 pounds. “If you bring it, you move it.” Most non-smoking rooms are upstairs at our hotels. Bring a gear bag you can carry upstairs. Your extra powdered food or energy bars should fit in your gear bag.
Laptop Computers
If you bring a laptop, we can transport your computer and case for you in our trailer. Your computer case shouldn’t be larger than 14” x 17” x 5”. Make sure your computer case keeps everything secure inside. Please, no purses or backpacks that are more than 5” thick that are serving as a computer case. A hard-shell computer case provides the best protection.
Spare Tubes, Tires, Wheels and Parts
PAC Tour recommends 25mm wide tires for durability and comfort. We will have a good supply of 700c x 25mm front and rear wheels so you won’t need to bring a spare unless you are riding a tandem or a Bike Friday.
If you bring a spare wheel we recommend it have a quick-release skewer so the wheel can be locked on the wheel forks on the van roof, thru-axle wheel storage is limited. Spare tires should be labeled with your name and then stored in the motel trailer. Spare parts/tools must fit in your gear bag. Bike Friday bikes should bring 4 tubes and one tire to fit the unique sizes of their bike wheels.
You are responsible for bringing three spare spokes, nipples, and a spoke wrench for your front and back wheels.
